CHRONOLOGY
28 B-24’s took off at 0653 – 0748 hours to bomb MISKOLC M?Y. 1 returned early. 27 dropped 67-1/2 tons of 500 lb GP bombs with .1 and .025 fusing, on target at 1058 hours from 21,000 to 22,500 feet. 27 returned at 1357 hours. None lost. None missing. None at friendly fields. There were 27 effective sorties.

ROUTE AND ASSAULT
Rendezvoused with 450th Group at MANDURIA at 6,000 feet at 0800 hours. Thence to SAN VITO to RAGUSA (4231N – 1823E) to turnpoint PALANKA (4515N – 1923E) to Control Point OROSHAZA (4634N – 2040E) at 1025 hours to IP (Lake at 4748N – 2103E) attacking on an axis of 329° True. The rally was right, thence to turnpoint TARTA HARKANY (4807N – 2103E) to PALANKA (4515N – 1923E) and thence reciprocal of route out. Rendezvoused with 25 P-51’s at 4600N – 2005E at 21,500 feet at 0910 hours. Escourt departed at 4530N – 1930E at 1200 hours.

RESULTS
Assigned target area appeared very well covered. Much smoke seen over target rising to 7,000 feet. Bomb strike photos show an unusually good concentration of hits in assigned area.
ENEMY RESISTANCE
Fighters: None. Flak: Over the target this group experienced scant to moderate, inaccurate heavy flak, black in color of 3 to 5 minutes duration.
