My father in law, 1LT Harry C. Snyder, was a B24 pilot with the 449th Bomb Group. Harry is now living near us in Maine. He is doing well and wanted me to say hello to all of you on his behalf. Ronda Snyder Sidney, Maine USA
Edward J. Sass, Jr. was the original C.O. from June ‘43 to December ’44. Shelby McArthur became C.O. in December ‘44 and remained so until February ‘45. From February ‘45 to May ’45, Wilbur Parker was the C.O.
