Between December 1943 and May 1945, the 449th Bomb Group lost 129 aircraft to all causes. Of those losses, 111 were combat losses. A summary of the lost and missing aircraft is provided below. The aircraft losses are presented in chronological order. The information presented consists of the aircraft name, aircraft serial number, squadron number, the pilot at time of loss and the target for the day. Links to the Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) number or accident report are provided where applicable.<\/p>\n
